Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

This policy explains what information ajaykhandal.com (“I”, “me”, “this site”) collects when you visit or get in touch, why, and what rights you have over it. I build WordPress and WooCommerce sites for clients in the US, UK, Europe and Australia, so this policy is written to cover both UK/EU GDPR and US state privacy laws (like California’s CCPA) rather than one jurisdiction only.

Who I am

Ajay Khandal, a freelance WordPress developer operating this site at ajaykhandal.com. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].

What I collect

  • Contact form submissions — when you submit the project enquiry form, I collect your name, email address, website URL (if provided), budget range, and project type. This is sent directly to my WordPress site (wp-json/ak/v1/contact) and stored so I can reply to your enquiry.
  • WhatsApp contact — if you message me via the WhatsApp link on this site, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy policy, not this one. I only see what you send me directly.
  • Analytics — this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and which pages are useful, via cookies and similar technologies. This collects anonymized/aggregated data such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device type, and referral source. I do not use this to identify you personally.
  • Server logs — like most websites, the hosting infrastructure and Cloudflare (used for CDN/security) log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) for security and performance purposes.

What I don’t do

  • I don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
  • I don’t share contact-form data with third parties except where needed to run the business (e.g. email delivery) or where the law requires it.
  • I don’t run retargeting/advertising pixels on this site.

Why I collect it

Contact form data is collected so I can respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, deliver the project. Analytics data helps me understand what content is useful and improve the site. The legal basis for EU/UK visitors is legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you initiate) and consent (analytics cookies, where required by your browser/region settings).

How long I keep it

Contact form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, if we start a project, for the ordinary duration of a client relationship plus standard record-keeping. If you ask me to delete your data and there’s no legal/contractual reason to keep it, I will.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data I hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing (GDPR, for EU/UK visitors) or to know what’s collected and opt out of its sale — which I don’t do anyway (CCPA/CPRA, for California visitors, and similar state laws elsewhere in the US). To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and I’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies

This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings at any time; the site will still work without them.
